- 1 Standard on President Classic
- 2 Wire spoke overlays (AC-2780) for these wheel covers were scheduled to be a 1956 accessory, but none were ever sold. They do show up in some early factory photos.
- 3 The older AC-2302 rear seat speaker was also listed as a 1956 accessory.
- 4 Dealer installation on standard shift models required AC-2334 switch without power steering and AC-2444 switch with power steering.
- 5 Color keyed seat belts were available for dealer installation. Each color had a different part number. Factory installed belts were black (at least on early production).
- 6 Two of these could be used in the back seat of sedans.
- 7 This 1953-55 mirror was carried into 1956, but most 1956 cars were fitted with the Super-Vue mirror.
